Most of the requirements HoustonPBS has for considering productions, proposals and story ideas are a reflection of PBS' requirements. In this PBS Production Fact Sheet we have listed addresses and links for PBS and other organizations concerned with the production and distribution of programming on public television that may provide insight into the process and the options available for everything from funding through distribution. New producers and producers new to public television will find a wealth of information about our system and the answers to many questions. For HoustonPBS consideration, these should be looked upon as general guidelines; some of the requirements for PBS are more stringent than those for local, regional or other-than-PBS distribution. On the other hand, if you produce to PBS standards you should have few problems with distribution.
