Patience and experience are two things anyone with an interest in this field will need to have in order to succeed. This area will enable you to gain beneficial on-the-job-training as you start your broadcasting career. Professional opportunities in this career field are very limited; and typically production disciplines require a college degree and a minimum 3-5 years of professional experience.
